GEMINI SEASON 2026

A Seasonal, Collective Forecast for Meadowlark
By Claire Morrison

Gemini season begins on the 21st of May and the shift from what we’ve been served these past weeks is unmistakable. Aries season lit the fire and Taurus season had us trying to hold steady in the heat. Gemini is something else entirely. It is lighter. Warmer in a social way rather than an intense one. Curious and open rather than driven. There is a quality of windows being thrown open and visualising all that excess tension drifting off and away.

This is a season that moves quickly and changes direction often, which is exactly what Gemini does. Not every moment will be comfortable, and there are a few days of real tension scattered through the weeks ahead. But overall, we are entering a different and more easeful stretch of this astrological year.

The First Week

Gemini season opens with a rush of activity the very next day. The 22nd of May carries three separate transits happening at once, to keep us on our toes.
Venus in Cancer and Neptune in Aries form a difficult angle. This could feel dreamy and romantic but possibly not very clear. There is a risk of seeing what you want to see, particularly in relationships or with money. A purchase that feels inspired might not feel the same a week later. The guidance here is gentle discernment: enjoy the feeling, but give significant decisions a few days.

At the same time, Mercury in Gemini and Saturn in Aries are working well together, which offers some grounding. Thoughts that usually stay vague are capable of becoming plans. Ideas have more follow-through potential than usual. If you have been trying to nail something down, communicate something clearly, or commit to a direction: use this window.

The third thing happening on the 22nd is significant in a long term way. The Sun in Gemini meets Uranus, which only recently moved into Gemini for the first time in 84 years. This kind of meeting, the Sun illuminating and activating a planet at the very beginning of its new chapter, is special. Uranus will be in Gemini until 2033, and this first spotlight on it gives us a glimpse of what this era is going to feel like.

Uranus in Gemini is the astrology of a world changed by the way it communicates and exchanges information. It is already happening. The last time Uranus moved through Gemini was in the 1940s, when radio, early computing, and mass media were reshaping how humans related to knowledge and to each other. This time around, the disruption is again happening in our information landscape: artificial intelligence, the way we access ideas, the blurring of what is true, the speed of everything. Uranus here wants to break apart what has become too fixed in how we think and speak and learn.

On the 22nd, sparks of insight are possible. An idea, a conversation, a piece of news that feels like a preview of where things are going.
The 24th is lighter and more pleasant. The Sun in Gemini and Neptune connect in a soft, creative way. Social, slightly dreamy, good for anything that involves imagination or pleasure. Keep your expectations easy and let the day feel spacious.

Then the 25th arrives, and it is one of the more demanding days of the season. Mars, still in Taurus, forms a tense angle with Pluto in Aquarius. Mars in Taurus is stubborn and slow to move. Together with Pluto here it’s likely about power and control. These are conditions for a standoff. In fixed signs, nobody moves first.

Collectively this could surface as an issue around the control of resources, something that was brewing earlier in May coming back with force. There may be something ominous in the news around this time.

Personally, however, this same energy may present positively. Mars and Pluto together, even when difficult, can reveal a depth of endurance you did not know you had. If you are working toward something that matters to you, the days around the 25th might support you to dig in rather than back away.

The following day, the 26th, is considerably more helpful. The Sun in Gemini flows with Pluto in a way that brings depth and clarity to communication. Honest conversations become possible. Focus comes easily. Socially this is a great day, a welcome contrast to the one prior.

A Reality Check?

Late May
The 28th of May brings a moment of restraint. Venus in Cancer and Saturn in Aries are at odds with each other. Venus in Cancer is tender and protective, needing warmth and closeness. Saturn in Aries does not particularly care about comfort; it is about discipline and what is actually doable in the real world.
If the 22nd brought a romantic or dreamy quality, the 28th is where you see things a bit more plainly. This is not necessarily a bad thing. A reality check can be great to get some clarity. With money especially, this is a day for caution and practicality rather than impulse.

The Full Moon in Sagittarius
31st May

The full moon on the 31st of May in Sagittarius is expansive, philosophical, and optimistic by nature. A full moon here invites you to look out of your immediate surroundings.
This is a moment to take stock of what you have learned since the start of the year. Not just information gained, but shifts in perspective. What do you actually understand now that you did not before? What has the year taught you so far, and what does that make possible?

Sagittarius at its best is about finding meaning. Not just surviving what happens, but making sense of it. This full moon asks you to step back from the details and see the bigger picture. What if things are working out, even when they do not look like it? What if the difficulty has been useful?
Let yourself think bigger around this full moon.

Moving Into June
Early June

The 3rd of June brings the Sun in Gemini into a harmonious relationship with Saturn in Aries. This has a productive quality. It is a good day for anything that requires both thinking and structure: planning, communicating clearly, making commitments that will hold. There is focus available without the pressure of earlier weeks.

The 4th of June brings Mercury in Cancer into a difficult angle with Neptune in Aries. Conversations may be blurry or rushed. What was clear yesterday might feel murkier today. Be patient and resist the urge to force clarity right now. Remember it’s only temporary.

And then, quietly, the astrology begins to settle into something calmer and quite lovely.

The Venus Jupiter Conjunction
9th June

Of all the planetary meetings this year, this is the most enjoyable.

Venus and Jupiter come together in Cancer on the 9th of June. The essential quality of Venus and Jupiter together is abundance, warmth and beauty. There may be a feeling that life is genuinely good and that you are fully held by it.

In Cancer, this conjunction is especially soft and nourishing. It is the feeling of being home, of being fed, of love that is uncomplicated. It is not about being impressive or useful, it is about receiving and being cared for.

Be aware that these two planets are also navigating a tense angle with Saturn at the same time. Some practicality or restraint will thread through this sweet moment, keeping it grounded in reality.

Some things to sit with around the 9th of June:

Where in your life have you been most in need of care? How can you meet that need now, even just a little?

Think about who or what genuinely nourishes you, not what is supposed to, but what actually does.

What would you do more of, if you trusted that pleasure and ease were abundant? .

Venus Moves into Leo
Mid June

On the 13th of June, Venus moves out of Cancer and into Leo, and the atmosphere changes. What was soft and inward becomes radiant and outward-facing. Leo in Venus wants to be seen and adored. She is generous, dramatic, and magnetic. She dresses up and she takes up space. She gives beautifully and expects appreciation in return.

Two days later, on the 15th of June, there is a new moon in Gemini. Venus in Leo and Uranus in Gemini are in a lovely relationship with each other on this day, and the new moon amplifies it. This is a fresh start with an electric edge: unexpected connections, creative surprises, and brilliant ideas that arrive from nowhere.

The 17th of June brings Venus in Leo into a flowing relationship with Neptune in Aries. This is a dreamy and inspired energy, different from the blurrier Neptune moments earlier in the season. This one has creative fire or a feeling of being moved by something. Think art, music, a vision. It is a good day for making something beautiful.

And then, on the 18th of June, Venus in Leo faces Pluto in Aquarius. This is the most intense of the three outer planet meetings and the one that requires the most honesty. Pluto does not allow for pretending. In Leo, Venus has been radiant and magnetic, but maybe a little performative. Pluto in Aquarius questions what is real here. This opposition may bring up tension in relationships, particularly where pride or ego is involved.

Weaving it Together: Venus and the Outer Planets

What this last stretch of Gemini season is doing is telling the story of Venus moving through a sequence of encounters with every outer planet in turn, and the arc has its own emotional logic.

She begins the season in Cancer: soft, protective, tending toward safety. Her meeting with Jupiter on the 9th expands that tenderness into something more open and abundant. Then she moves into Leo, which is a different Venus entirely: brighter, bolder, with zero interest in hiding. And it is here that the outer planets find her.

Uranus brings a spark of the original and unexpected. Neptune dissolves her edges and sets the creative imagination firing. Pluto, last and most demanding, strips back whatever has been performance and asks what is actually real. Each planet takes something from her and gives something back.

The full arc moves from protection into exposure, from playing safe into showing up. Venus is, at her core, about self-worth and this is what the journey is asking you to examine. What are you still keeping hidden? What becomes possible when you stop?

Gemini season rarely lets you stay in one place for long, and this one is no exception. But underneath the movement and the chatter and the occasional jolt of the unexpected, there is something steadying available if you look for it: a thread of genuine warmth running through these weeks.

Take the lightness where you find it. Follow the ideas that arrive without warning. Let yourself be nourished by the Venus-Jupiter moment. And when Pluto strips back the performance at the end of June, trust what remains. That version of you is ready for what comes next.
