Established in 2006, Meadowlark is an independent jewellery brand based in New Zealand. We draw on the seen, heard, and deeply felt to create pieces that inspire you to express yourself freely, and to serve as a reminder of the most important chapters in your life story.

Our objective has always been to offer high quality, well made jewellery to mark milestones, with a strong focus on creativity, art, design and fashion.

Our office is open plan and most of our products are made in our own atelier in Auckland, New Zealand. We care deeply about what we do, we are focussed on delivering the best service and products to our wonderful customers. We are constantly improving our footprint, we compost, recycle and offer reusable solutions, we care about each other and the planet.

Bench Jeweller

We have a full time role available in the Meadowlark workshop, working alongside our jewellers and stone setter in Grey Lynn, Auckland.

The purpose of this role is to produce Jewellery to the highest quality standards in a timely manner.

Specific duties and responsibilities
• Clean up of production batches within timeframes set. Benchwork –soldering, stamping, filing,
sanding and polishing. Some setting may be required from time to time.
• Self QC'ing batches before returning them.
• Prioritsing fix-ups promptly over the next batch.
• Organising and returning batches within a timely manner, with all pieces present or accounted for
and batch sheet info filled out.
• Communicating issues to do with production pieces, delays, problems etc. to the production team.
• Sizing and repairs as required.
• Sizing in wax, and some assembly in wax as required, pre casting.
• Answering jewellery related questions from staff and customers.
• Cleaning jewellery for customers in showroom as required.
• Using and Maintaining anti-tarnish equipment
• Undertake Training requirements - including but not only pertaining to, Puk Welding, Pearl glueing,
anti-tarnish application, stone setting.
• The ability to organise, multi task and prioritise is very important in the role.
